Focus and Scope

Compendium of Judge-Made Law is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on comparative and conceptual studies of judicial decisions (judge-made law). The journal provides an academic platform for critical analysis of how jurisprudence develops, is applied, and is compared across jurisdictions.

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Comparative analysis of court decisions across jurisdictions;
  2. Legal reasoning and judicial interpretation;
  3. Development of legal principles through jurisprudence;
  4. Case-based legal research (case approach and case studies);
  5. Progressive legal theory based on judicial practices.

The journal welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, and legal practitioners that emphasize originality, analytical depth, and theoretical as well as practical relevance.


Publication Frequency

This journal is published biannually (twice a year) and applies a continuous submission system through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.


Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers to ensure the quality, originality, and academic rigor of the publication.

The editorial decision is based on reviewers’ recommendations, with possible outcomes: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.


Open Access Policy

This journal adopts a fully open access policy, allowing immediate and free access to its content. This policy supports the global exchange of knowledge and enhances the visibility and citation of published works.

Journal History

Compendium of Judge-Made Law was established to respond to the growing need for scholarly discourse on the role of judges in law-making. The journal promotes a dynamic and reflective understanding of law through jurisprudential analysis across legal systems.
